What goes wrong here

  • Route 40 is the only line in this guide that reaches Omodos, and it ends there. On Saturdays and Sundays it runs only three times each way in the week shown, so a missed return can mean a wait of several hours. Sources: Ministry of Transport timetable data, EMEL route 40

Worth your time

What Omodos does best

Omodos, a village in the Troodos mountains, is the end of EMEL route 40 from Limassol, which runs through Kantou, Agios Amvrosios and Pachna. The line runs every day of the week the cards show, with fewer trips at weekends, so the return to Limassol is the part of the day to plan first.

  1. End of the line

Route 40 ends at Omodos; going further into the Troodos needs another plan.

  2. Two stops in the village

The timetable data names two Omodos stops, by the elementary school and by the high school.

  3. Villages on the way

Kantou, Agios Amvrosios and Pachna are on the same line, between Limassol and Omodos.

Good to know

  • Check the last route 40 bus back to Limassol before you leave; no other line in this guide serves Omodos.
  • Weekend trips are fewer than weekday trips in the week shown.
  • Public-holiday service can differ from the week shown; EMEL's announcements take precedence.
