Larnaca Airport

Larnaca Airport to Ayia Napa by bus

No public bus runs from Larnaca Airport straight to Ayia Napa; a private company, Kapnos Airport Shuttle, runs a scheduled shuttle there (below). By public bus, take Cyprus Public Transport route 425 into Larnaca, walk about 80 metres, as the crow flies, to the Intercity stop, and take Intercity Buses line 43 to Ayia Napa: one change.

Landing late, or missing the last bus

Intercity line 43’s last bus from Larnaca leaves hours before route 425’s last trip from the airport, so after a late-evening landing the bus takes you to Larnaca but not on to Ayia Napa.

Allow for passport control and baggage reclaim before counting on a bus: no bus here waits for a flight. If the last one has gone, Hermes Airports says taxis wait in the taxi area on the right as you leave the Arrivals Hall, around the clock.

Kapnos Airport Shuttle, a private company and not public transport, says it runs a scheduled shared shuttle from Larnaca Airport direct to Ayia Napa seven days a week, with fixed departure times and set boarding points. It boards at the bus stop outside the terminal, booked ahead or bought on the day; its fares and times are on its own page.

Luggage, wheelchairs and pushchairs

  • On Cyprus Public Transport buses, including route 425, small luggage travels at the driver’s discretion and must not block the aisle; a full luggage space can mean waiting for the next bus.
  • Subject to space and the driver’s discretion, a bus carries one wheelchair or up to two buggies, prams or pushchairs. The priority area generally fits a wheelchair up to 120 cm long and 70 cm wide, and the driver may ask for pushchairs to be folded at busy times.
  • Guide dogs, hearing dogs and assistance dogs are carried at any time.
