Route 405 runs between Kakopetria and the Makario Stadium bus station in Nicosia; route 87 runs between Kakopetria and Troodos Square on weekdays; route 408 runs between Nicosia and Troodos Square at weekends and calls at Kakopetria. Cyprus Public Transport’s own timetables for all three routes, read on 6 October 2026, print the same departures as the cards.

  • Route 405 ends at the Makario Stadium bus station in Nicosia, not in the city centre.
  • For Troodos Square: route 87 on weekdays, route 408 at weekends, in the week shown.

What Kakopetria does best

Kakopetria is the highest village in the Solea valley, on the north-facing foothills of the Troodos, about 55 km south-west of Nicosia. Three Cyprus Public Transport lines serve it: route 405 to Nicosia’s Makario Stadium bus station, route 87 up to Troodos Square on weekdays, and route 408 between Nicosia and Troodos Square at weekends, which passes through the village.

  • The Makario Stadium bus station is outside Nicosia’s centre; the Intercity buses leave from Solomou Square.
