Luggage
Luggage on the bus in Cyprus
One operator publishes a luggage rule, one shuttle company publishes an allowance, and the other operators publish none that this guide could find. This page says exactly that, operator by operator, and where to leave a bag at the airport.

Cyprus Public Transport Small luggage, at the driver’s discretion
Cyprus Public Transport’s conditions of carriage, which apply on route 425 from Larnaca Airport and on every Nicosia and Larnaca district bus, say you may bring small items of luggage or other belongings at the discretion of the driver, providing they are not bulky or likely to present a danger or nuisance to other passengers or staff. The company reserves the right to refuse or restrict the size and type of luggage.
- Luggage should be stored safely and should not obstruct the aisle; you may not be allowed to travel if the luggage space is already full or the driver judges that your bags would block gangways or emergency exits.
- Combustible or otherwise hazardous objects cannot be carried under any circumstances, including unsealed heavy batteries and petrol.
- Bicycles are carried only as purpose-built folded bicycles that fit in the luggage areas; the driver may refuse one that poses a risk.
- The company does not accept responsibility for loss of or damage to luggage on the bus, or for refused travel under these conditions.

EMEL, OSYPA, OSEA and Intercity Buses No published luggage rule found
This guide found no luggage rule on the EMEL, OSYPA or OSEA route pages it has read, nor on the Intercity Buses route pages read for it. No published rule is not a published allowance either: this guide cannot say what these operators accept. Ask the operator before travelling with anything larger than a suitcase, and open its page for notices.
- Intercity Buses is a separate operator from the city buses at either end, so a bag that was fine on one leg is a new question on the next.
- OSYPA’s airport routes 612 and 613 and its Coral Bay and Polis lines are ordinary district buses; the operator’s page carries any notice.
- EMEL’s route pages list stops and times; OSEA’s publication for routes 101 and 102 is a seasonal timetable.

Kapnos Airport Shuttle One suitcase up to 20 kg plus one piece of hand luggage
Kapnos Airport Shuttle, a private company and not public transport, says each passenger on its airport shuttle may bring one large suitcase weighing up to 20 kg plus one piece of hand luggage. Extra or oversized items are accepted only if space is available and require passengers to contact Kapnos in advance.
- Its shuttle from Larnaca Airport to Ayia Napa is pre-booked, boards at the bus stop outside the terminal and is also sold on the day.
- Its fares and times are on its own page; this site does not copy them.

Leaving a bag At the airports, yes; in the towns, nothing official found
Hermes Airports says a baggage storage service, run with Safe-Sac J.V., operates at Larnaka and Pafos airports at the Special Baggage Counter in the Check-in area, for a few hours or a few days, paid in cash or by credit card. This guide found no official left-luggage service in the towns; ask your accommodation. In a taxi, Visit Cyprus lists a charge for each piece of luggage in town and, in a rural taxi, for each piece weighing more than 12 kg.
- Keep the original Baggage Storage Form: it is needed with an identity document to collect the bag.
- Cash, jewellery and other valuables, weapons, inflammable or hazardous materials and items that spoil easily may not be left.
