Sundays and holidays
Buses on Sundays and public holidays
Every operator publishes its weekend service in its own way, and most lines run on Sundays with a thinner list. This guide names the lines that stop or change, from the operators’ pages and the Ministry’s timetable data, without printing times: the connection guides hold those in dated cards.

Intercity Buses One list for Saturdays, Sundays and holidays
Each Intercity Buses line page prints a Monday–Friday list and a “Saturday, Sunday & Holidays” list, and the line 43 page says the holiday list is selected automatically on official holidays. On most lines the weekend list is shorter than the weekday list; the Nicosia–Ayia Napa–Paralimni line is the exception in the Ministry data, with more trips at weekends in the week the cards cover.
- Nicosia–Limassol, Nicosia–Larnaca, Larnaca–Limassol and Limassol–Paphos: weekend service is less frequent than weekday service, in both directions.
- The connection guides show weekday and weekend figures side by side in their line cards.
- A public holiday that falls on a weekday is a weekend day for Intercity Buses.

Cyprus Public Transport Route 425 every day; the Troodos buses by day of the week
Route 425 between Larnaca Airport and Larnaca runs every day, and its page has separate Monday–Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday tabs. Night line 446 calls at the airport on Friday and Saturday nights only. Route 408 from Nicosia’s Makario Stadium bus station to Troodos runs on Saturdays and Sundays only, and route 87 between Kakopetria and Troodos Square on weekdays only, in the Ministry data this site uses.
- Nicosia and Larnaca district routes are on Cyprus Public Transport’s routes and timetables pages, one per agency.
- Public-holiday service for the district routes is not described on the pages this guide read; check the operator’s announcements before travelling on one.

OSYPA, Paphos and Polis Holiday lists on routes 615 and 645; routes 623 and 630 not on Sundays
OSYPA’s pages for routes 612 and 613 from Paphos Airport print one Monday-to-Sunday list with no separate public-holiday list. Route 615 to Coral Bay prints a separate list for weekends, school holidays and public holidays, and route 645 to Polis marks its Sunday and public-holiday times. On Cyprus public holidays routes 615 and 645 run their weekend or Sunday timetable, as their pages say.
- Route 623 from Polis to Latchi and Neo Chorio does not run on Sundays; route 622 is the Sunday bus to Latchi and the Baths of Aphrodite.
- Route 630 from Karavella to Pissouri runs from Monday to Saturday; route 631 from Paphos Harbour to Petra tou Romiou runs every day.
- Routes 615 and 645 leave from different Paphos stations, Tombs of the Kings and Karavella.

EMEL and OSEA Kourion every day with fewer trips; route 18 weekdays only; OSEA one seasonal list
EMEL route 16 from Limassol to Kourion Beach runs on Saturdays and Sundays with fewer trips than on weekdays, and route 18 runs on weekdays only. Route 40 to Omodos runs every day with fewer trips at weekends, and route 64 to Troodos is one trip each way on every day the data shows. OSEA publishes routes 101 and 102 between Ayia Napa and Protaras as one seasonal timetable with a validity date; check the current one before a weekend trip.
- Public-holiday service on EMEL routes can differ from an ordinary week; EMEL’s announcements take precedence.
- OSEA’s weekend figures in the Ministry data differed from its own page when this site compared them; the operator’s page wins.

Visit Cyprus says taxis charge an extra supplement per ride on the following public holidays: 24, 25, 26 and 31 December, 1 January, Good Friday and Good Saturday, Easter Sunday and Easter Monday, and 1 May. The amount is on its transportation page; this site does not copy it.
- Visit Cyprus describes urban taxis as a 24-hour service in all towns and lists no holiday exception.
- Rural taxis are hired from and to their base station, so at the last stop of a village line ask where the local taxi is based.
